PRESS RELEASE – Esders Connect makes work routine easier

Goodbye piles of paperwork: With the new online portal and the associated “Esders Connect” app, energy supply companies as well as service and workshop companies of the gas and water management will save valuable time in the future documenting measurement data. For a faster data management, the system of the Esders GmbH transmits the test reports of the measurement devices smart memo, OLLI and GasTest delta 3. These are either sent directly to the digital platform via the integrated LTE module or to mobile devices via Bluetooth using the Esders Connect app. The paperless measurement data are not only compliant with the law and the privacy but also retrievable at any time and form anywhere. This provides an enormous reduced workload for the customers, as there is no need for a complex maintenance of the data.

“The documentation of measurement data is an important but nevertheless complex process. With the Esders-Connect solution we are happy to accompany our customers on the way into the digital era,” says Bernhard Esders, research and development at Esders GmbH. From the construction site to the office: As of now the new, web-based portal Esders Connect not only enables a fast transmission but also a clear management of the measurement data for the devices smart memo, OLLI and GasTest delta3.

Since the pressure test device smart memo already contains an LTE module, the data are directly transmitted to the online portal. The multi-range gas measuring device OLLI and the GasTest delta3 do not have an LTE module yet. For this reason, here the app is used, which bridges the LTE data transmission via Bluetooth connection and then sends the measurement data to the online portal. Additional customers have the option to send the test reports as a PDF attachment by e-mail to up to three e-mail addresses. Furthermore, a new MDE feature for mobile data acquisition will be activated at the beginning of the year. In the Esders Connect app the MDE data for the devices OLLI and GasTest delta3 can then be edited, values be changed and added, and a signature be added.

Simple and safe application

The Esders-Connect system can be used in two ways: via the web-based portal, which is accessible via every common browser, or with the Esders-Connect app, which is available free of charge in the google playstore. “Costs only arise for sending the measurements. When buying our smart memo device with LTE function, there are already 100 measurements included for free,” explains Esders. After the registration, customers can log into the online portal using their smartphone, tablet or PC and access the measurement data there. “The encrypted data are not only compliant with the law and the GDPR but through the digital transmission also less incorrect than manually transmitted values,” emphasizes Esders.

Special advantages for the customer

One of the special advantages of the system is the customization of the test reports. With the help of Esders Connect, customers can sort all data by date, type of test and other criteria. A GPS function with map view for precise localizations of the test site is also integrated in the system. Important updates are made automatically so that the customer always has the latest version available. “This is the full flexibility of our new measurement data management system,” says Esders.
