Since the introduction of the EU Methane Regulation in August 2024 and the entry into force of the new regulations, the current focus is on the targeted flaring of methane to reduce emission levels. Mobile gas flares are one of the developments from Esders GmbH that involve the gentle and safe combustion of residual gas quantities during the commissioning and decommissioning of pipelines. The controlled conversion of methane into less climate-damaging CO₂ significantly reduces the greenhouse gas effect. Quantity measurement for more safety

The Mobile Gas Flares were also developed from this experience and analysis, as was the OLLI gas measuring device. The OLLI offers a precise solution for velocity measurement during flushing processes in gas pipes. In combination with the Mobile Gas Flares, it not only enables the flow velocity in the pipe to be reliably determined, but also the volume of gas flared. This would fulfil an important requirement, namely the documentation obligations in accordance with the EU Methane Regulation for the implementation of the DVGW G 404 and G 465-2 regulations
